A rare jasper found on Greek island Samothrace was used for the creation of this one-of-a-kind artisan necklace made of sterling silver. The textured pattern on the pendant emphasizes the multi-colored stone even the back side beautifully showcases the jasper and the silver has a unique contrast of glossy and matte finish, glossy the hanger and matte the rest of the metal.
Jasper is a type of quartz stone. It is a protection stone, supporting through times of stress and bringing tranquility and wholeness because it absorbs negative energy. The pendant is combined with a leather brown cord.
About the artist
Kostis Bacharidis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece where he currently lives and works as a jewellery designer since 2012. He graduated in 2006 from the Department of History, Archaeology and Social Anthropology of the University of Thessaly but his true love for arts and creativity led him to silversmithing. Today in his workshop he transforms various metals into modern jewellery, giving each one a unique identity. He uses mainly silver, gold and natural stones to create one-of-a-kind pieces. All his jewellery is totally handmade and cannot easily be found in the world of mass-produced merchandise.
