The name Compagnie Des Indes refers (in French) to the former "West Indian Companies" of the Dutch, British, Portuguese and French empires during the 17th and 18th centuries. The idea behind this iconic brand is authenticity with the travels and discoveries made during this era, a time when rum was one of the most widely consumed spirits. Pirates, merchant ships, sailors and the Royal Navy ... These are some of the elements that hides the majestic design of the brand that aims to take the consumer on a journey through a world of flavors, now rum lovers, have your place, to experience flavors, smells and sensations never before experienced ... are you coming with us on a trip? As with wines, rums can present different flavor profiles depending on the region in which they are produced. At Compagnie des Indes, we offer a wide variety of origins to show this great diversity of flavors and aromas, as well as the know-how and “Terroir” of each origin. Authenticity is the key for Compagnie des Indes, we do not add any flavoring, glycerin to our rums. Our rum mixes contain 15G / L maximum of sugar and we always use organic cane syrup instead of raw sugar. The Blended range is a compilation of rums from different origins to help our consumer discover new horizons in the world of rum and experience for himself the great variety of flavors within this exciting distillate. We select rums between 5 and 24 years old or older to age in individual barrels (200 to 500 bottles per barrel). ABV from 40% to 46% or barrel test (50% to 64%). Compagnie Des Indes is one of the few rum bottlers offering single barrel rums in the world.
