Shibuichi (四分一) - Signed Seizan 晴山 and with mark shirgane 白銀 (white silver) - Un okimono en shibuichi finement gravé représentant un coq (鶏). - période Taisho (vers 1920)
A shibuichi okimono depicting a rooster (鶏, niwatori) with its head slightly turned to the side. The finely engraved feathers show great attention to naturalistic detail.
Signed underneath the belly.

Okimono (置物), combining the kanji "oki" (置き, to place) and "mono" (物, object), refers to a decorative object meant for display. Okimono, popular in the Meiji period (1868 - 1912), were finely crafted sculptures made from materials such as ivory, boxwood, wood, and bronze.
