Canne de marche - Argent 925 - Manche en corne naturelle

Walking Cane with Natural Horn Crook Handle and Silver Collar – London Hallmarked – Early 20th Century Elegant early-twentieth-century walking cane featuring a natural horn crook handle and a London-hallmarked silver collar. The curved horn grip displays attractive colour shading from caramel to darker brown, with the smooth surface typical of good period horn craftsmanship. The silver collar carries clear British hallmarks, including the lion passant and the London assay mark, with a date letter placing it in the early decades of the century. The collar shows dents, impressions and a small split from age and handling, although the hallmarks remain readable. The shaft is of hardwood finished in black lacquer and shows noticeable wear, with areas where the lacquer has rubbed away through years of use. Despite the cosmetic wear, the cane remains straight and structurally sound. The cane shows honest wear appropriate for its age. The horn handle is well preserved with only minor surface marks. The silver collar has dents and a small split but is fully attached and retains clear hallmarks. The shaft shows heavy surface wear and loss to the lacquer, yet the structure is solid throughout. No restoration is visible. This is a characterful example of an English gentleman’s cane from the early twentieth century, combining natural horn, solid silver and traditional workmanship. It will be carefully packaged and shipped with tracking.
