The textile base is decorated with a wave-like motif, stitched in sections and reinforced with iron splints along the forearms and upper arms for protection. The gloves are reinforced with iron knuckle plates and lined with deep blue fabric. Both guards include chainmail across the elbows and wrists. One of the upper cords has been replaced with a hemp string on the right arm. Minor surface wear, scratches, rusting, and chipping are visible on the iron elements.
