Vase - En alliage - Japon - Vase en forme de gourde (Sans prix de réserve)

This is a traditional Takaoka copperware (高岡銅器) vase crafted in the form of a gourd (瓢箪, hyōtan), a symbol of good fortune in Japanese culture. The surface features carved medallions and geometric patterns, giving the piece a strong decorative presence. Takaoka City in Toyama Prefecture has been Japan’s leading center for bronze craftsmanship for over 400 years, producing Buddhist altar fittings, temple bells, statues, and fine art metalwork. The tradition began in 1609, when Maeda Toshinaga, the second lord of the Kaga domain, established a foundry to support the prosperity of the castle town. Today, Takaoka remains Japan’s top producer of bronze works, accounting for around 90% of the country’s bronze statue production. This vase reflects the characteristic weight, texture, and craftsmanship of authentic Takaoka copperware. It is suitable for interior display, as a collector's item, or as a symbolic decorative object. Condition is good with natural signs of age consistent with copperware craftsmanship. Method of Shipment FedEx or Japan Post NOTICE The lot will be carefully packaged and shipped by FedEx or Japan Post. Delivery usually takes 1–2 weeks. Heavy items may be shipped by sea, which may take 1 to 2 months to arrive. The shipping method may vary depending on the item price and size. Sometimes Customs or the delivery company in your country may contact you by phone or email for clearance. Please make sure you are available to respond. If not, the parcel may be returned to me, and reshipping will cost more than twice the original shipping fee. I appreciate your cooperation.
