A large 1930s - 1940s German Petz plush mohair teddy bear with moving limbs and rotating head, stuffed with straw, measuring circa 70cm in height and weighing 1,7Kg, designed by Anton Kiesewetter. Golden plush mohair, glass eyes, straw filling. The Petz company (Coburg) was founded in 1849 but started producing teddy bears and plush animals in 1921. Condition: Overall good, no significant damages or repairs. New pads sewn over the old ones. Normal age-related wear from playing and hugs. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
