Vase - Bronze, Vase Daming Xuande avec motif de trésor porte-bonheur. - Japon - Période Edo (1600–1868)

It is a vase with the stamp of ``Daiming Xuande 大明宣徳''. This is an auspicious treasure motif. Treasure motifs are a collection of auspicious items, expressing a celebratory spirit. Originating from the "eight treasures," one of the Chinese auspicious concepts, they were Japaneseized during the Muromachi period and are imbued with celebratory meaning. They are used on celebratory kimono such as Shichi-Go-San, mogi, and furisode. They are imbued with a variety of meanings, from protection from danger with hidden hats and hidden raincoats to wishes for freedom from financial troubles with the use of money-related items such as jewels, magic mallets, money bags, and treasured keys. There is some wear due to age, but the carving is generally intact. The auspicious treasure pattern can also be seen. For a vase that is approximately 100 to 150 years old, it is in very good condition. "Made in the Xuande year of the Great Ming Dynasty" refers to an inscription on a bronze vessel made by imperial decree during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Ming Dynasty (1426-1435), specifically in 1428. Height 21.6 cm Width 26.6 cm Depth 26.6 cm Top 19.7 cm Bottom 15.1 cm Weight 3400 g Condition: The condition is generally good. There are signs of wear, stains, scratches, scuffs, dirt, discoloration, etc. due to age. The inside bottom has dried out and the soil has hardened. Please see the numerous photos for details. Atention: The items listed for sale are all used collectibles. Please consider them to have signs of aging, such as stains, scratches, scuffs, tears, discoloration, fading, fraying, and changes in thread color. We will post as many photos as possible to make it easy to understand. As these are old items, we appreciate your understanding before making a purchase.
