The 1962 vintage is one of the three best vintages of Vega Sicilia, which is why many expert oenologists have awarded it 100 points. El Único is Vega Sicilia's reference wine, although it shares its special sparkle with the rest of the winery's wines. It comes from the oldest vines of the property and in its composition, apart from Tempranillo, there is more Cabernet Sauvignon than Merlot. Although it is old, the red maintains a liveliness provided by its good acidity, compensated by a round alcoholic content. It has an intense ripe cherry colour, with the lively edge of a wine that is always in fullness.
