US bidders should be aware of this. As EMS shipments to the US are currently suspended, we will ship via DHL. Shipping costs will be higher than before; we appreciate your understanding. The Photo Image 2, published by Shashin Hyoronsha in 1969, was published by Shinya Yoshimura, a classmate of Eikoh Hosoe and known for his work on Daido Moriyama's "Goodbye Photography." It was published as a representative photography magazine of the 1970s, co-edited by Koshio Kuwabara, who was primarily a critic at the time but would later become famous as a photographer, and Mitsuko Sasatani, who also served as an editor for Camera Mainichi. It ran for 10 issues. This issue features three photographers: Masahisa Fukase (work "Animal"), Shomei Tomatsu (work "School Desolation"), and Ei Q (posthumous collection of works "Photo Dessin"), all of whom are introduced with abundant illustrations. It also includes excellent works such as "Records of Auschwitz" photographed by Tatsuo Kurihara and "13 Bar Blues" by Makoto Yanagisawa. Additionally, essays have been contributed by Kanasaka Kenji, Hosoe Eikoh, Okada Susumu, and others, and the "Quarterly Columns" include a film critique by photography critic Tsuda Shinichi, a film review (Godard's "La Chinoiserie") by critic Saito Ryuho, a television critique by Konno Tsutomu, and a discussion of advertising photography by art director Nakai Koichi, all of which are well worth reading.
