The glasses are made from clear glass overlaid with a violet-blue layer (“violett-blau”), which is cut through by hand to reveal the transparent base – a classic cut-to-clear technique typical for high-quality Bohemian glass around 1900. The glasses stand on tall, faceted hexagonal bases made from solid, thick crystal. This distinctive geometric foot is characteristic of the Meyr’s Neffe glassworks from Kyselka/Adolfov. The long rectangular tray is finely faceted along the rim and decorated with a star-cut pattern on the bottom, matching the stylistic vocabulary of Bohemian glass from the late 19th to early 20th century.
