He is known as the 23rd generation potter of Usukegama, an Akazu ware kiln in Seto City.
He has received awards such as the Mayor's Award at the Seto Ceramics New Works Exhibition and the Aichi Prefecture Governor's Award for outstanding craftsmanship in traditional crafts.
