This piece features a distinctive organic form with an irregular opening, characteristic of contemporary Shigaraki pottery that balances traditional techniques with modern design sensibilities. The natural clay body displays the warm, rustic tones that Shigaraki ware is celebrated for, created through high-temperature firing that brings out the inherent beauty of the local clay.
