Seagulls かもめ - Limited Edition 83/100 & Hand-Signed - Masayuki Miyata 宮田雅之 (1926-1997) - Japán (Nincs minimálár)

We cannot ship to the USA due to suspension of the postal services from Malta. (Please read below). This work was used as the cover of the haiku magazine "Shunto" in the 1960s. This is a print of one of Miyata's favorite works. This print is in excellent condition. It has never been framed and was always stored in a dark place. Masayuki Miyata was a Japanese kiri-e (papercutting) artist. In 1995 he was selected as the year's official artist for the United Nations. He created illustrations for modern publications of Japanese classic literature, including Oku no Hosomichi, The Tale of Genji, and The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. His most prominent work, Red Fuji, was produced and sold in 184 countries worldwide. Selections of his work are still published today by Kodansha International. Miyata also made a select number of woodcut prints. This work is one of his acclaimed woodcut prints. (Source: Wikipedia) Due to the large size of the print, it will be shipped registered in a tube. This allows for drastically reduced shipping costs. Due to the introduction of the import tariff system in 2025, Maltapost has suspended all postal services to the USA until further notice. If you live in the USA, you will need to give an alternative address outside of the USA for shipments. Otherwise, please refrain from bidding.
