Part of the Diorama Collection, this cabinet takes inspiration from collectible toys, a key element of hypebeast culture. The design translates diorama figures, meticulous compositions of visual elements that recreate specific scenarios, into bold 2D patterns that adorn the furniture.
The cabinet features an open all-around design that works as both container and display. Made from a refined mix of lacquered wood (structure), laminated glass (vitrines), and laser-cut aluminium (decorative patterns), it creates a dynamic play of solid and void. The aluminium figures wrap seamlessly around the piece, framing the objects inside and giving the cabinet its distinctive identity.
A unique collector’s piece that embodies the design studio’s signature blend of culture, craft, and innovation, distinct in its design language and destined to stand out in any interior!
The cabinet will be securely shipped in a custom wooden crate to ensure safe delivery. Please note that, as the piece has been exhibited, minor imperfections or small signs of use may be present.
About GROOVIDO
GROOVIDO is a design studio that uses a unique visual aesthetic to translate creative challenges into distinctive design pieces. The studio’s explorative nature confronts tradition with new cultural influences, materials, colors, and production techniques by creating pieces that merge digital culture with material innovation.
The studio was founded in 2020 by Gianmaria Della Ratta (b. 1993, Italy) and Giorgio Gasco (b. 1992, Italy) after their Master’s in Contextual Design at Design Academy Eindhoven.
GROOVIDO collaborates with brands and companies to develop furniture collections and products that combine tradition with material innovation, where they integrate contemporary design narratives with industrial production.
Their designs have been showcased at several international venues, including Collectible Brussels, Alcova, Dutch Design Week, Capsule Plaza, Fuorisalone, Rotterdam Design Biennale, Venice Design Biennale, Huidenclub, HKDI Gallery, The Italian Expo Pavilion in Shanghai, and the ADI Design Museum.

Since 2022, they are also teaching at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in both the Industrial Design and Art & Tech programs, where they contribute to the dialogue between design, technology, and material innovation.
