Descrizione del venditore
Solifleur vase / glass sculpture – Ingrid Glashütte (Germany), designed by Kurt Wokan, c. 1970s – original label
Refined solifleur vase in heavy clear solid glass, in a Mid-Century Modern / Brutalist style, produced by the German manufacturer Ingrid Glas (also known as Ingrid Glashütte / Ingrid Glashütten), with a design by Kurt Wokan, active mainly in the 1960s–1970s.
Kurt Wokan is a German designer known for his Brutalist and Mid-Century Modern glass works, produced primarily for Ingrid Glas (Ingrid Glashütten) from the 1960s and 1970s onwards.
The piece features a strong sculptural presence with a distinctive “ice / bark” texture (often referred to by collectors as Eisglas or Borkenglas), creating striking light reflections and depth, enhanced by small internal bubbles/inclusions typical of thick glass.
Shaped as a vertical column-like sculpture, it works beautifully both as a decorative object and as a soliflore, thanks to the small opening at the top suited for one or a few stems (as shown in the photos).
Retains the original “INGRID GLAS” label (see close-up photo).
Period: circa 1970s.
Material: clear glass (pressed/cast glass).
Condition: excellent overall condition; minor signs consistent with age and use. The original label shows normal wear.
Dimensions: 21 × 8 × 5 cm (H × W × D approx.).
Weight: 1.8 kg.
Tracked national and international shipping via express courier, carefully packed.
