DESCRIZIONE DELL'OPERA DA PARTE DELL'ARTISTA

Per me “Invasione” è un’invasione organica, non “militare”: una trama che cresce, si ripete e si sovrappone finché lo spazio si riempie quasi del tutto. Non è un pieno uniforme, perché dentro ci sono micro-variazioni e piccoli vuoti che fanno respirare a fatica la superficie.

E quell’angolo arancione è il punto chiave: è piccolo ma fortissimo. Può essere un segnale (una luce, un avviso), oppure l’unica parte che resiste e resta diversa, come un margine non ancora colonizzato, come un artista che cerca di distinguersi in ogni suo gesto, che non si uniforma alla massa.
Ho scelto di collocarlo in alto a destra anche per un motivo “mentale”: è una direzione verso cui lo sguardo spesso sale quando si immagina, si ricorda o si sta cercando un’immagine nella testa. In questo senso, quel frammento di colore diventa la zona più libera e creativa dell’opera, un punto di fuga che interrompe l’invasione della trama e apre aria.

Sono Pietro Fight, artista visivo con base a Milano. La mia ricerca è una “scrittura del gesto”: astrazioni segnico-calligrafiche in cui moduli circolari e reticoli di segni costruiscono ritmo, densità e respiro. Mi interessa il peso nello spazio, l’equilibrio tra pieni e vuoti, tra accumulo e sospensione, tra intensità del segno e zone di silenzio visivo. Questo linguaggio nasce nel 2020, durante il periodo del Covid, trasformando la noia della routine quotidiana ripetuta in costruzione e variazione. Anche se il metodo è ripetitivo, ogni opera resta irripetibile, perché ogni cerchio e ogni traccia sono sempre diversi.

ARTIST’S DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

To me, Invasion is an organic invasion, not a “military” one: a pattern that grows, repeats, and overlaps until it almost completely fills the space. It isn’t a uniform solid mass, because within it there are micro-variations and small voids that let the surface breathe—almost with difficulty.

And that orange corner is the key point: it’s small, yet extremely powerful. It can be read as a signal (a light, a warning), or as the only area that resists and remains different—like a margin not yet colonised, like an artist who tries to stand out in every gesture and refuses to conform to the crowd.
I also placed it in the upper right for a more “mental” reason: it’s a direction the gaze often drifts toward when we’re imagining, remembering, or searching for an image in our mind. In that sense, that fragment of colour becomes the freest and most creative zone of the work—a vanishing point that interrupts the invasion of the pattern and opens up space.

ARTIST

I’m Pietro Fight, a visual artist based in Milan. My practice is a “writing of the gesture”: abstract, sign-and-calligraphic works in which circular modules and lattices of marks build rhythm, density, and breath. I’m interested in weight in space and in the balance between fullness and emptiness, accumulation and suspension, the intensity of the mark and areas of visual silence. This visual language emerged in 2020, during the Covid period, transforming the boredom of an endlessly repeated daily routine into construction and variation. Although the method is repetitive, each work remains unrepeatable, because every circle and every trace is always different.
I create exclusively original works (no prints), hand-signed and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity with a personalized ink stamp. Careful shipping, and I’m available for photos, videos, and further details upon request.
