Antique silver-gilt snuff box, finely crafted and richly decorated, dating to the second half of the 19th century (circa 1860–1890).
The rectangular box is made of solid silver (.800) with a gilt interior (vermeil). The exterior is extensively chased and embossed with dense floral and foliate decoration, framed by a continuous floral border. The sides feature a finely worked guilloché pattern.
The interior is fully gilt and smooth, consistent with its original use as a snuff box or small personal object container, rather than a vinaigrette.
Clear hallmarks are present, including the “.800” silver standard and official control marks, confirming production

Very good antique condition. Original gilding well preserved. Hinge intact and fully functional. Minor surface wear consistent with age and use.
