Description
Antique Chinese folding fan from the Late Qing Dynasty (circa 1880–1910).
The fan features a double-sided hand-painted figural scene on a red ground. The sticks are finely carved openwork bone (bone, not ivory), with delicate decorative detailing and a strong display presence.
The fan comes with its original fitted wooden storage box, matching the fan’s folded length and enhancing collectability and presentation.
A decorative / collector’s fan rather than an everyday-use item.
Condition
Overall in good antique condition, with normal age-related wear.
There is a very minor old restoration on one stick (visible on close-up photos). The repair is stable, and the fan opens and closes smoothly.
