About the Artist:

Girish Kulkarni is an Indian contemporary artist whose practice is rooted in abstraction and a process-driven approach to painting.

He received his formal training in Fine Arts in India, where he developed a strong academic foundation that continues to inform his disciplined yet intuitive visual language. His work is characterized by layered surfaces, restrained palettes, and a refined sense of compositional rhythm, exploring themes of perception, memory, and inner landscapes without relying on fixed narratives. Kulkarni has participated in multiple group exhibitions across India and continues to build a steady presence within the contemporary art scene, with works held in private collections. His practice bridges Indian contemporary thought with an international abstract sensibility, marked by clarity, depth, and conceptual maturity.

Girish Kulkarni has exhibited in numerous curated group exhibitions across major Indian cities, presenting his work in established contemporary art spaces and gallery-led shows with a focus on abstraction and modern painting. His exhibition history demonstrates a sustained and consistent presence within the Indian contemporary art circuit, reflecting both critical engagement and professional recognition. Through these exhibitions, his work has reached a diverse audience of collectors, curators, and art professionals, contributing to an expanding profile within the broader landscape of contemporary Indian art.
