About the winery

In the rustic Serralunga d’Alba, in the heart of the Barolo DOCG, lies the Meriame cru, where Paolo Manzone planted the Nebbiolo for his flagship wines. The vineyard dates back to 1948, and the vines are sometimes up to 70 years old. Manzone drew inspiration from Burgundy and produces Barolos aged in French Burgundy barrels. These are Barolos in a fairly modern style, matching the accessible and somewhat earthy Barolos produced by the Meriame Cru.

Vineyard and Region

Coming from the younger vineyards of the Meriame cru in the comune of Serralunga d'Alba in Barolo. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 350 meters and face south/southeast. The soil consists primarily of clay and limestone. The vines are approximately 25 years old.
