Mithridate II (o Mithradates II), re dei Parti dal 124 al 88 a.C., è considerato uno dei più grandi sovrani dell’impero arsácido. Ha consolidato il regno dopo un periodo di turbamenti, ha respinto i Sciti ed esteso la sua autorità dalla Mesopotamia all’Iran orientale. Sotto il suo regno, i Parti si affermano come potenza maggiore e stabiliscono i primi contatti diplomatici con Roma e la Cina.

Mithridates II (or Mithradates II), king of Parthia from 124 to 88 BC, is considered one of the greatest rulers of the Arsacid Empire. He consolidated the kingdom after a period of turmoil, repelled the Scythians, and extended his authority from Mesopotamia to eastern Iran. Under his reign, the Parthians established themselves as a major power and forged the first diplomatic contacts with Rome and China.
