LA STORIA DIETRO
Between 2001 and 2004, the artist produced a series of oil paintings on wood using the roof of Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera, in Barcelona, as his motif. This building is one of the most emblematic works of the 20th-century architectural genius, Antonio Gaudí. In this particular painting, the artist captures a majestic hut standing atop a staircase, bathed in the warm light of sunset. The colour palette used in the work, dominated by warm tones, evokes a sense of serenity and highlights the organic, sinuous beauty of Gaudí's structure.
