Late 19th / early 20th century military artillery telescope, solid brass construction with beautiful untouched patina.
The engraving indicates production period 1897–1906, serial number 1118, and Puteaux (well-known French military manufacturing location associated with artillery production).
Long, elegant cylindrical body in heavy brass with stepped eyepiece assembly and rotating collar section. Fine period machining details.
