Small Venetian mercury glass mirror dating to the mid-19th century, featuring its original heavily oxidized reflective surface and a polychrome lacquered wooden frame. The mirror displays extensive age-related patina, with characteristic foxing and clouding typical of early mercury glass, while the frame retains traces of its original lacquer decoration beneath layers of wear.
Provenance: From the private chapel of Villa Il Colombaio, formerly the private residence of Countess Isabella Bonucci Ugurgieri della Berardenga and her family. Acquired directly from the owner’s son in 2025. Provenance supported by a signed letter of attestation.
Traditionally attributed to Venetian manufacture.

Lacquered wooden frame with significant wear, paint losses, and surface abrasions consistent with age and use.
Minor historic woodworm holes professionally filled and stabilized; no major restorations performed.
