EQUUS works with archival imagery related to horses, drawing from historical photographs, equestrian documentation, and visual records from past centuries. The practice is based on appropriation and reinterpretation: existing images are revisited, fragmented, and transformed to create new compositions that shift their original meaning.
EQUUS lavora con immagini d'archivio legate ai cavalli, attingendo a fotografie storiche, documentazione equestre e registri visivi provenienti da secoli passati. La pratica si basa sull'appropriazione e reinterpretazione: immagini esistenti vengono rivisitate, frammentate e trasformate per creare nuove composizioni che ne modificano il significato originario.

Among these sources are photographic records and references to equestrian representations from the 19th and 20th centuries, which the artist recontextualizes within a contemporary artistic framework. By appropriating and reworking these materials, EQUUS explores how images circulate through time and how cultural symbols persist across different visual eras.
Tra queste fonti ci sono registri fotografici e riferimenti a rappresentazioni equestre provenienti dal XIX e XX secolo, che l'artista riallestisce entro un quadro artistico contemporaneo.
