La meteorite NWA 14131 è un unico Eucrite (HED) proveniente dall'Africa nord‑occidentale, proveniente da Nouadhibou, Mauritania, con peso di 7,44 g e accompagnata da un certificato di autenticità.

Purchased: 2021 May
Classification: HED achondrite (Eucrite)
History: The meteorite was purchased from a group of meteorites hunters in Nouadhibou, Mauritania in May, 2021.
Physical characteristics: Many dark grayish fragments some of which almost completely covered with fusion crust.
Petrography: The meteorite is a coarse-grained breccia composed of up to 6 mm sized basaltic clasts and up to 2 mm sized mineral fragments set in fine-grained clastic matrix. Mineral phases are predominantly exsolved pyroxene and mostly blocky calcic plagioclase grains. Minor phases include silica, chromite, ilmenite, fayalite, and troilite. No metallic iron has been detected.
Geochemistry: low-Ca pyroxene: Fs63.5±0.7Wo2.9±1.1 (Fs62.2-64.1Wo1.6-4.8, FeO/MnO=29-31, n=5); Ca-pyroxene: Fs30.8±0.5Wo42.5±0.8 (Fs30.4-31.8Wo41.4-43.7, FeO/MnO=27-30, n=5); calcic plagioclase: An82.1±7.9 (An71.1-91.3, n=5).
Shock stage: moderate
Weathering grade: low
