Original Etching by Paul Neagu

Offered for auction is an original etching by the important Romanian-born British artist Paul Neagu, signed in pencil by the artist and numbered 10/20, from a limited edition.

The composition depicts a stylized human hand and arm rising diagonally toward a luminous form, suggesting a gesture of reaching, aspiration or connection. The figure is rendered in expressive etched lines and soft tonal areas, creating a dynamic contrast between the structured anatomy of the arm and the atmospheric background.

The gesture appears symbolic rather than purely anatomical — a theme frequently explored in Paul Neagu’s work, where the human body becomes a vehicle for ideas related to energy, direction, balance and the relationship between the human being and space.

The etching technique is clearly visible in the engraved lines, cross-hatching and plate tone, giving the image depth and movement. The composition has a strong conceptual character, typical of Neagu’s artistic language, situated between drawing, sculpture and conceptual art.

Dimensions:
• Sheet size: 21 × 30 cm
• Framed size: 24 × 33 cm

The work is signed in pencil by the artist and numbered 10/20, and also bears the “Generative Arts – Paul Neagu” stamp, further confirming authenticity and connection to the artist’s studio practice.

The artwork is presented in a frame that complements and protects the work.
