Emi Sato is a Japanese printmaker known for her emotionally evocative copperplate etchings featuring animals—especially cats—in quiet, dreamlike settings.
A graduate of Musashino Art University Junior College in 1993 with a focus on spatial design, Sato refined her skills as a printer's assistant at the print studio "Utsushi" from 1994 to 2000.
She has exhibited in numerous renowned print exhibitions, including 8 times at the CWAJ Print Show (1995–2007, 2022), and 4 times in the UK Miniature Print Exhibition (1996–2006).
In 2004, she co-authored the art book “Tokoton Neko Hanga” with Akiko Ikeda, Takashi Ohno, and Mao Yamaguchi.
She also participated in the Cadaqués International Mini Print Exhibition in 2014 and has been active in various group and department store exhibitions.
