Bellissima Bochara autentica.
Antico, sicuramente realizzato almeno 100 anni fa.
Lana proveniente dai loro propri ovini e coloranti che loro stessi preparavano usando piante del loro ambiente.
Intrecciato su fili d'ordito in peli di capra non tinti.
Le forme ottagonali si chiamano ‘Guls’.
Ogni tribù ha o aveva il proprio simbolo Gul.
Questo rosso è molto bello, piuttosto morbido di tono e con 'abrash' – la variazione di colore che vedi.
Non vedi un solo colore uniforme ma cento sfumature sottili – il fascino del lavoro artigianale.
In ottime condizioni. Nessun foro.
Aveva una crepa sul bordo inferiore, ancora visibile nella foto. ma ora è stata riparata.

Questi tappeti erano realizzati in passato dai nomadi Ersari.
Vivevano nelle praterie del Turkmenistan, tra l'Afghanistan settentrionale e l'Uzbekistan.
Questi tappeti sono spesso attribuiti all'Afghanistan, ma come si vede sopra, quello era solo una piccola parte di questo popolo.
Bochara è la capitale dell'Uzbekistan, il luogo lungo la Via della Seta dove questi nomadi vendevano i loro tappeti – da qui il nome.

Crafted with wool from their own sheep and dyes they made themselves from local plants.
Knotted on undyed goat hair warp threads.
The octagonal shapes are called ‘Guls’.
Each tribe has or had its own distinctive Gul symbol.
This red is very beautiful, rather soft in tone and with 'abrash' – the variation in color you can see.
You don’t see one flat, uniform color but rather a hundred subtle nuances – the charm of handmade work.

These carpets were traditionally made by Ersari nomads.
They lived on the grasslands in Turkmenistan, between northern Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
These carpets are often attributed to Afghanistan, but as you can see above, that was only a small part of this people.
Bochara is the capital of Uzbekistan, the place along the Silk Road where these nomads sold their carpets – hence the name.
