Descrizione del venditore

"Nabucodonosor" is a powerful contemporary meditation on the myth of the fallen king, inspired by the biblical ruler’s primal descent and the haunting, decadent atmosphere of the song by the Italian band Baustelle.

The work captures what I define as "domestic bestiality." Crouched on a wooden stool—a precarious, minimalist throne—the figure is stripped of all social armor. He wears only a jockstrap: a deliberate visual bridge between modern fetishism and ancient vulnerability. Behind him, the perceived safety of the domestic space is invaded by a serpent emerging from the shadows—a silent, visceral reminder of the primal instinct that dwells in every "garden," no matter how structured or urban.
Artist’s Perspective

As an architect, I view the canvas as a construction site for the soul. The rigid geometry of the furniture serves to measure the organic tension of the human form. This work explores how the body inhabits space when the mind is lost in its "seven times" of exile. The composition is a deliberate dialogue between the sharp, unyielding lines of the interior and the visceral, alert curves of a body in a state of crisis.
