The first thing that strikes you when you meet Antony Squizzato is the timbre of his voice, an absolutely soft, elegant voice, a timbre that creates immediate confidence. A huge fan of modern art, he is also a wellspring of culture concerning all the currents of contemporary art. In this respect, Squizzato deliberately places himself in a current known as “New Constructivism”. His ultra-mastered, highly constructed painting is nonetheless a form of onirism; it is an allegory that does not speak its name. He took on major themes, such as “kissing”, and developed this theme ad infinitum, thus creating his allegories! However, Squizzato is not content to paint with acrylics, push him, and he ventures into lands in which the influence of American realist painting appears.
La prima cosa che colpisce incontrando Antony Squizzato è la timbrica della sua voce, una voce assolutamente morbida ed elegante, una timbrica che crea fiducia immediata. Grande estimatore dell’arte moderna, è anche una fonte di cultura riguardo a tutte le correnti dell’arte contemporanea. A questo proposito, Squizzato si colloca deliberatamente in una corrente nota come “Nuovo Costruttivismo”. La sua pittura ultra-mestria, altamente costruita, è nondimante una forma di onirismo; è un’allegoria che non dice il suo nome. Ha affrontato temi importanti, come “bacio”, e ha sviluppato questo tema all’infinito, creando così le sue allegorie! Tuttavia, Squizzato non si limita a dipingere con acrilici, spingetelo, ed egli si avventura in terre in cui compare l’influenza della pittura realista americana.
