21. ACCA XF, Eastern Han Dynasty Wuzhu Coin - Five Divided, Rare Variety. This Eastern Han Dynasty Wuzhu coin has a narrower edge and a bronze color. It was minted around 25 BC after Liu Xiu restored the Han Dynasty and established the Guangwu era. The strokes of the character "五" (five) are curved at the intersection, the top of the character "朱" (red) is rounded, the two ends of the central vertical stroke are thinner, and the four dots of the character "金" (gold) are extended. Emperor Wu of Han carried out six currency reforms during his reign, which largely resolved the monetary problems that had plagued the early Han Dynasty. Therefore, the Eastern Han Dynasty Wuzhu coin holds significant historical importance. The most unique feature of this Wuzhu coin is that the character "铢" (zhu) is forged in overlapping layers, resulting in a noticeable misalignment. The entire coin has a very clean and beautiful surface, making it especially rare to find a Wuzhu coin in such excellent condition, especially considering it dates back to the Eastern Han Dynasty, two thousand years ago. As for the Wei Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period (December 11, 220 AD – February 4, 266 AD, historically known as Cao Wei, Great Wei, Wei Dynasty, or Wei State), it had five emperors and lasted for approximately 46 years. The Wei dynasty was a regime located in northern China during the late Eastern Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. It began in 220 AD when Cao Pi accepted the abdication of Emperor Xian of Han, replacing the Han dynasty with the Wei state. Cao Cao, upon being enfeoffed as Duke of Wei, established the vassal state of Wei. Later, Cao Cao's son, Cao Pi, became emperor, adopting "Wei" as the name of his state. Because it was a Cao family regime, it is historically known as "Cao Wei" to distinguish it from other regimes named "Wei." Wei was the most powerful and territorially vast regime during the Three Kingdoms period; due to its control of the Central Plains, it had the largest population of the three kingdoms. The most important political reform during this period was Chen Qun's Nine-Rank System, which had a profound impact on the politics of the Wei and Jin dynasties. The Three Kingdoms period was a very special period in Chinese history. Due to the political strife and numerous regimes, the development of currency stagnated, resulting in a scarcity of Three Kingdoms coins.
