A very RARE and beautiful big book on "Palestine Illustrated" written by Richard Temple and published in 1888 by W. H. Allen. Book in overall very good condition. Complete with all illustrations and beautiful maps! Light stains inside but overall pages very clean. Externally original cloth with light wear around edges and corners, shelfwear, light wear head and tail of spine,stains on boards.
4 maps. 2 lithographed & 32 chromolithographed plates (incl. frontis.). Illustrations overall very good, some spotted on margins, mostly with tissue guards, a few tissue guards missing, some tissue guards with wear and tears on margins, a few with tiny holes.
Hinges on endpapers reinforced with tape but binding strong.
