Shoukisama no Noboribata (鐘馗様の幟幡)
This banner could be displayed outside and inside a house as shown in the photos.
Impressively long reversible banner is a unique art item and would be a focal point of the interia if you are affectionado of Japanese Samurai art. Made in the mid 20th century.

Zhong Kui is a Chinese deity who wards off demons and the spirits of disease.
In Japan, 5th of May has become established as a day to pray for the healthy growth of boys. On this day every year, the custom of erecting long, narrow flags decorated with images of warriors or family crests on poles has become widespread.
Condition:
Fair condition. There are signs of slight ageing as it is an antique.
