‘Elegance’ is a personal calligraphy study exploring the balance between structure, movement and abstraction. Influenced by artists such as RETNA, Defer and Cryptik, the piece draws from contemporary gothic, islamic and urban calligraphic forms while embracing experimentation and repetition.

Built through layered blackletter-inspired characters, the work reflects an ongoing process of learning and creative obsession. Rather than pursuing perfection, ‘Elegance’ focuses on rhythm, energy and the evolving relationship between gesture and form.

Hollow Ink is a London-based urban contemporary artist, born in 1995, whose work explores the connection between calligraffiti, abstraction and spiritual expression. Working across multiple mediums, Hollow Ink blends influences from street culture, islamic and gothic calligraphy and modern urban art to create pieces driven by movement, symbolism and emotion.
With a strong focus on experimentation and meaning, the artist approaches each work as both a visual study and a reflection of inner thought, using layered forms and expressive mark-making to explore the relationship between chaos, identity and spirituality.
