Vintage Spring Culinox Oval Copper Fish & Gratin Pan with Lid - Made in Switzerland
An authentic, high-quality vintage oval copper fish and au gratin pan complete with its original matching lid. Manufactured in Switzerland by the renowned Swiss brand Gebrüder Spring (Spring Brothers) within their premium "Culinox" line.
The bottom features the prestigious official maker's mark stamped into the metal: the famous rampant stag inside a shield emblem, along with "SPRING", "MADE IN SWITZERLAND", "INOX 18/10", and the internal model reference code "86/87".
- Brand: Spring Culinox (Switzerland)
- Shape: Elegant oval shape, specifically designed for whole fish, roasting, or gratin dishes.
- Materials: Heavy-gauge solid copper exterior for unmatched thermal conductivity, lined with a premium, robust 18/10 stainless steel interior.
- Handles: Heavy, solid brass/bronze side handles secured by traditional heavy-duty rivets. Matching solid metal knob on the lid.
- Safety: Fully safe for modern cooking. Unlike antique tinned pans that require re-tinning, the high-grade 18/10 stainless steel lining remains non-reactive to acidic foods and will last a lifetime.
Excellent vintage condition with a beautiful authentic patina. The structural integrity is flawless with no dents, cracks, or deep scratches.
The interior stainless steel lining is remarkably clean with only light, superficial swirl marks from normal handling.
The exterior bottom shows typical dark heat marks/stains from historical use over a gas flame or grill, which guarantees its authentic vintage character (can be polished if a bright pink-gold mirror finish is preferred). The lid fits perfectly flush with the pan.
