Questa Bibbia Completa di Bagster rappresenta l’apice della erudizione biblica del XIX secolo, featuring Samuel Bagster’s famed parallel references, chronological charts, and extensive philological notes.
Standing at an impressive 30.5cm, the volume is bound in opulent full black leather with intricate gilt-tooled decoration to the boards and a deeply recessed, Five-banded spine. The "Comprehensive" edition was designed to be the ultimate study tool, and this copy remains a testament to the reverence Victorian households held for the Word.
Archive Highlight:
Tucked within the pages is an original, handwritten letter from Mr Hughes to Alfred and Emmie and dated April 2nd 1864, clearly a note accompanying this wedding gift. Such ephemera provides a rare, tangible link to the bible's original owners, making this not just a book, but a piece of family history.
