Scientific Name: Fossil Turtle / Testudines indet.
Common Name: Flower-patterned turtle fossil
Period: Mesozoic
Origin: China
Size: Please refer to the measuring tape in the photos; the specimen is approximately 39 cm in total visible length.
The specimen is 100% authentic.
This is a decorative fossil turtle specimen preserved on its original stone matrix. The specimen shows a rounded carapace outline, visible limb elements, head region, and tail area. The dark fossilized bone and shell material contrasts clearly with the grey matrix, giving the piece a distinctive display appearance.
The shell surface shows a naturally patterned texture, which is why this type of specimen is sometimes referred to in Chinese fossil trade as a “flower-patterned turtle” fossil. The overall form is attractive and suitable for fossil collection, educational display, or natural history decoration.
We will use reinforced protective packaging to reduce the risk of damage during shipping. Due to the fragile nature of fossil-bearing stone slabs, minor fragments may become loose during transportation and can usually be restored with suitable adhesive.
