This is a black and white photograph by Wolfgang Krolow from 1986. Depicted is from the frog’s perspective a chain carousel, which is named ‘Wellenflug’ (= wave swinger). The photo was taken during the ‘Kreuzberger Festliche Tage’, an annual late summer funfair held since 1949 in Viktoriapark. Wolfgang Krolow is known for his photographs of Berlin-Kreuzberg, the poetic and social critical snapshots of a district.

The photograph is verso devoted and signed in felt pen ‘Für Reinhard Wolfgang KROLOW‘, as well as inscribed and dated in felt pen ‘Kreuzberg 2011.‘.
