Descrizione del venditore
Oggetto: Rare 1970s Wintex Diver Chronograph – Prova di provenienza Ollech & Wajs – Cal. Valjoux 92 – Cassa Spillmann & Quadrante Beyeler
Description:Hi Everyone,I would like to share and document a recent find that belongs to the fascinating era of the 1960s/1970s Swiss "Private Label" watchmaking hierarchy. This is a stunning Wintex Chronographe 15 Atmos diver chronograph, which hides a remarkable pedigree under the hood. While branded "Wintex" on the dial (a name originally registered by Hans Wilsdorf / Rolex in 1907 and later sold to an Italian distributor in 1958), the watch was entirely contracted and assembled by the cult military/diver manufacturer Ollech & Wajs (O&W).Key Specifications & Provenance:Movement: Legendary Valjoux 92 manual-wind, column-wheel chronograph movement. The bridge is explicitly signed "Ollech & Wajs", featuring the correct O&W stamp under the balance wheel. It features the premium Incabloc shock protection system.Case: Robust stainless steel diver-chronograph case manufactured by the iconic C.R. Spillmann SA (notable for casing early Rolex, Doxa, and Universal Genève chronographs). It features sharp, downward-curving lugs and is rated to 5 ATMOS (50m) with a screw-down caseback and pump pushers.Dial: Gorgeous "Reverse Panda" dial in dark blue/anthracite with creamy, patinated sub-registers. Marked "T SWISS MADE T" indicating original tritium lume. The dial production is attributed to Beyeler & Cie (the prestigious Genevan maker that supplied Rolex sport dials and was later acquired by Rolex in 2000).Condition Notes:The watch remains in honest, unpolished vintage condition with minor hairline scratches on the steel case, preserving its original geometry and bevels. The movement is clean, with the column-wheel mechanism crisp and fully functional. This piece represents a perfect historical storm: Hans Wilsdorf's brand heritage (Wintex), Ollech & Wajs assembly, a Spillmann case, a Beyeler dial, and a high-grade Valjoux 92 column-wheel caliber inside. A true "Poor Man's Heuer" style sleeper with heavy Rolex-adjacent DNA.Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has encountered another Wintex configuration with the O&W-signed Valjoux 92! Európai Uniós országok jöhetnek szóba, csakis kizárólag kuldom el a tetelt!!!
