Ardbeg Drum - 70cl

Ardbeg Drum è un whisky di malto singolo estremamente festoso, edizione limitata senza indicazione di età (NAS) rilasciato nel 2019. È stato creato per celebrare l'Ardbeg Day di quell'anno e il Fèis Ìle (Islay Festival).
The theme for the release was a vibrant Caribbean carnival, driving a massive juxtaposition of traditional Islay peat with exotic, warm-climate flavors.
L'innovazione delle botti
The defining twist of Ardbeg Drum is that it represents the first time in Ardbeg's history that a whisky was finished in rum casks. The spirit was initially aged in standard American ex-bourbon oak barrels before being transferred into ex-rum casks sourced from the Americas for a final secondary maturation period.
Questa miscela mette a confronto diretto il fumo di torba fortemente industriale e influenzato dall'oceano di Ardbeg con la dolce, tropicale "funk" del rum maturo.
