Due mani si cercano attraverso un sottile filo rosso ricamato, elemento reale che esce dalla superficie pittorica per trasformarsi in simbolo.
L'opera si ispira alla leggenda orientale del filo rosso del destino, secondo la quale le persone destinate a incontrarsi sono unite da un filo invisibile che il tempo, la distanza e le difficoltà non possono spezzare. Qui il filo non è soltanto un legame tra due individui, ma rappresenta anche la memoria, le scelte, le ferite e gli incontri che costruiscono la nostra esistenza.
Il contrasto tra la delicatezza della pelle, resa con acrilico e matite colorate, e la presenza fisica del ricamo crea un dialogo tra realtà e simbolo. Il filo avvolge dita e polsi senza imprigionare: accompagna, guida e ricorda che ogni legame autentico lascia una traccia.

They reach for one another, support each other, and are connected by a delicate red thread embroidered directly onto the canvas, transforming a symbolic element into a tangible presence.
The artwork is inspired by the ancient East Asian legend of the Red Thread of Fate, which tells that people destined to meet are connected by an invisible red thread that neither time, distance, nor life's obstacles can ever break. Here, the thread represents far more than a bond between two individuals: it embodies memory, life choices, emotional scars, and the encounters that shape our existence.
The contrast between the softness of the skin, rendered with acrylic and colored pencils, and the physical texture of the embroidered thread creates a dialogue between reality and symbolism. The thread gently wraps around fingers and wrists without restraining them; instead, it guides, connects, and reminds us that every meaningful relationship leaves a lasting mark.
With a minimalist and contemporary aesthetic, Fil Rouge #13 invites the viewer to reflect on the invisible forces that unite people, the vulnerability of human touch, and the idea that destiny quietly weaves our lives together beyond time and distance.
