Descrizione del venditore

A large pewter ceremonial guild cup (Zunftpokal), German, likely 19th century. The body is hand-engraved with a roll-call of guild officials and members, including the titles "Beysitzer" (assessor/council member), "Fleischer" (butcher) and "Seidenmacher" (silk weaver), along with the surnames of the men recorded — Gottfried, Gottlieb, Draudiman, Schwartzbach, Iuttner, Schmiedt among others. The cup stands on a spreading circular foot with a knopped baluster stem, and the lower bowl is fluted with four lion-mask mounts.

Condition: The lion masks were originally fitted with pendant rings (a common feature on ceremonial guild cups, sometimes hung with small commemorative tokens); the rings are now missing from all four mounts. Surface shows scattered oxidation/tarnish consistent with age, with tooling marks and minor dents to the body. The underside bears a scratched inventory-style mark, partially legible ("25267" and additional lettering). No maker's touchmark clearly identifiable.
