Three-color linocut on Hahnemühle-Bütten paper.
Hand-signed and numbered.
Manus presse edition, Stuttgart, 1964. Edition of 80 signed and numbered copies.
One of six linocuts in the suite-portfolio dedicated to the famous work of Federico García Lorca.
Paper size: 57 x 41 cm.
A historic chromatic elegy by an inspired Bores for the bullfighter who died at five in the afternoon, a friend of Lorca and other poets of the Generation of '27. The artist of the School of Paris received the award for best illustrated book in 1964 (along with the suite in which this print is included) for this heartfelt tribute to Lorca. The Reina Sofía National Art Centre Museum holds a complete suite of his work in its collection.
Fifty years old and very well preserved. The print is neat, clean, and colorful. Perfect.
