Descrizione del venditore
PERNA LABORATORIO ORAFO – “BOUQUET” – HANDCRAFTED 925 STERLING SILVER RING WITH SMOKY QUARTZ, 24 AUSTRALIAN OPALS AND 36 DIAMONDS – ITALIAN SIZE 16.5
A remarkable contemporary artisan ring created entirely by hand by Perna Laboratorio Orafo in Torre del Greco, Naples, Italy, a city internationally recognised for its longstanding goldsmithing tradition.
This jewel belongs to the “Bouquet” Collection, conceived to transform the spontaneous beauty, volume and movement of a bouquet of flowers into a three-dimensional jewellery composition.
At the heart of the ring is a large faceted cushion-cut smoky quartz. Its warm smoky-brown and brownish-grey reflections create depth and visual contrast, while 24 luminous Australian opal cabochons form a rich floral corolla around the centre stone.
The composition is completed by 36 small diamonds, positioned throughout the ring as controlled points of light. Together, the smoky quartz, opals and diamonds create a complex arrangement of 61 gemstones in total.
Unlike a conventional geometric halo, the head of the ring has an intentionally organic and sculptural construction. Its subtle asymmetries, variations in positioning and individually finished details express its genuinely handcrafted origin and the distinctive identity of the Bouquet Collection.
THE “BOUQUET” DESIGN
The ring was designed to evoke a bouquet captured at the moment of full bloom.
The central smoky quartz represents the deep and warm heart of the composition. The opal cabochons suggest luminous petals and flower buds, while the diamonds introduce delicate flashes of light between the individual elements.
The result is an expressive jewel with a strong visual presence, combining botanical inspiration, architectural construction and traditional Italian goldsmithing craftsmanship.
This is not an industrially standardised or mass-produced piece. Its identity lies precisely in its artisanal construction, organic arrangement and hand-finished character.

CENTRAL SMOKY QUARTZ
Gemstone: Smoky quartz
Quantity: 1
Shape: Cushion
Cut: Faceted
Measurements: Approximately 10 × 10 mm
Estimated weight: Approximately 4.00 ct
The central gemstone displays the characteristic smoky-brown to brownish-grey appearance associated with smoky quartz, with natural variations in light, transparency and extinction across its facet pattern.
Its faceted cushion cut gives the stone a substantial visual presence and forms the central structural element of the entire floral composition.
Because the quartz remains mounted and its exact depth cannot be measured with complete accuracy, the stated carat weight is a dimensional estimate based on the standard proportions and specific gravity of a cushion-cut quartz.
The stone has not been removed from its setting or individually weighed.
AUSTRALIAN OPALS
Gemstone: Natural opal, as declared by the maker
Declared geographical origin: Australia
Quantity: 24
Shape: Round
Cut: Cabochon
Diameter: Approximately 3 mm each
Estimated individual weight: Approximately 0.07 ct
Estimated total weight: Approximately 1.68 ct
The 24 opals create the luminous floral volume surrounding the central smoky quartz.
Each cabochon presents its own individual combination of milky-white body colour, subtle translucency, internal reflections and restrained play-of-colour. These natural variations mean that no two opals appear completely identical and contribute to the organic character of the jewel.
The natural character and Australian origin of the opals are declared by Perna Laboratorio Orafo. No treatment is declared.
The opals have not been submitted to an independent gemological laboratory; consequently, their identity, natural character and geographical origin are supplied as workshop declarations and are not supported by an independent laboratory report.
DIAMONDS
Gemstone: Diamonds
Total quantity: 36
Shape: Round
Setting: Multiple hand-assembled settings throughout the floral cluster and split shoulders
Estimated total weight: Approximately 0.33 ct
Diamond breakdown:
- 24 diamonds measuring approximately 1.30 mm: estimated total weight approximately 0.193 ct
- 8 diamonds measuring approximately 1.60 mm: estimated total weight approximately 0.120 ct
- 4 diamonds measuring approximately 1.00 mm: estimated total weight approximately 0.015 ct
The diamonds introduce restrained brilliance throughout the composition, highlighting the opal cluster, the central smoky quartz and the architectural lines of the split shoulders without overwhelming the organic character of the design.
The estimated diamond weight was calculated from the measured diameters using conventional gemological weight-estimation formulas and standard proportions for small round diamonds.
The diamonds have not been submitted to an independent gemological laboratory. Therefore, no laboratory colour, clarity or cut grade is stated or implied in this description.
HANDCRAFTED CONSTRUCTION
The ring was created entirely by Perna Laboratorio Orafo through traditional goldsmithing processes.
Its construction includes:
- A fully closed and continuous shank
- Sculptural split shoulders
- Multiple gemstone settings
- A raised three-dimensional floral cluster
- Individually arranged opal cabochons
- Numerous diamonds distributed throughout the composition
- Hand-finished prongs and decorative silver elements
- Polished and textured metal surfaces
- Manual assembly and final finishing
The intentionally organic layout should not be interpreted as a geometrically regular halo. Minute variations in alignment, spacing, metal finishing and gemstone positioning are consistent with genuine handcrafted production and distinguish the ring from an industrially manufactured jewel.
STERLING SILVER DECLARATION
The ring does not bear a 925 fineness hallmark.
The metal has been tested directly by Perna Laboratorio Orafo using an acid-reaction testing procedure, with a result consistent with 925 sterling silver.
This is a professional workshop test and not an assay performed by an independent precious-metals laboratory. No external assay certificate accompanies the jewel.
The absence of a hallmark is therefore expressly and transparently disclosed in this description.
CARAT-WEIGHT DISCLOSURE
All stated gemstone weights are calculated estimates.
The gemstones remain mounted in the ring and were not removed or individually weighed. The estimated carat weights were obtained from the available measurements, the conventional specific gravity of each gem material, standard cutting proportions and recognised dimensional weight-estimation methods.
Actual carat weights may vary according to the precise depth, pavilion profile, dome height, girdle thickness and individual proportions of each stone.
The estimated weights must therefore not be interpreted as laboratory-certified carat weights.
CONDITION AND PHOTOGRAPHY
This is a contemporary artisan creation by Perna Laboratorio Orafo.
Any minute irregularities, tool traces or subtle differences visible under strong magnification are consistent with completely manual fabrication and form part of the authentic character of the jewel.
Macro photography can considerably magnify details that are not normally visible to the naked eye.
The appearance of the smoky quartz, the body colour and play-of-colour of the opals, and the reflections of the diamonds and polished silver may vary according to the lighting, viewing angle and screen settings.
The photographs form an integral part of the description and should be examined carefully from every angle before bidding.
The successful bidder will receive the exact ring shown in the photographs.
