Published in London by Groombridge and Sons. Lacks the title page but will date from the 1860s.
This is a rare early edition copy of “Beautiful Leaved Plants; Being a Description of the most Beautiful Leaved Plants in Cultivation in this Country; To which is Added an Extended Catalogue” by Edward Joseph Lowe, assisted by W. Howard.
Condition Report:
Illustrated with 60 full page colour plates all with tissue guards.
Half calf boards have some rubbing to the calf on the spine and corners.
There is some offsetting from the plates on to the tissues.
Slight foxing on several plates and more on the endpapers.
Generally plates are in very good clean and bright condition.
viii, 144, 60 plates of hand colour, dimension: 25.5 x 16.0 cm.
