Descrizione del venditore
Péter Korniss – The Guest Worker (A vendégmunkás), 1988
I am offering an original photobook by the renowned Hungarian documentary photographer Péter Korniss. The Guest Worker (A vendégmunkás) is considered one of his most important works, presenting a powerful visual document of Hungarian migrant workers living and working abroad during the 1980s.
The book has 152 pages and features dozens of black-and-white photographs, characteristic of Korniss’s sensitive, humanist style. The photographs capture the everyday reality of guest workers – their labor, loneliness, temporary living conditions, and returns home – creating a cohesive visual narrative about migration, identity, and separation.
Year of publication: 1988
Language: Hungarian / English
Condition: Very good overall condition, with minor scuffing along the edges of the binding. Interior pages are well preserved.
This title is increasingly hard to find and sought after by collectors of photobooks and documentary photography. Due to its limited print run and lack of reprints, it also holds strong collector’s value.
