Antique Japanese Ichimatsu Dolls – Set of 3 – Taisho to Early Showa Period – 45 cm & Miniature Mame Ichimatsu Dolls – Traditional Kimono

Item Description

A charming set of three antique Japanese Ichimatsu dolls, consisting of one larger Ichimatsu doll and two smaller Mame Ichimatsu (miniature Ichimatsu) dolls.

All three dolls are old pieces and are believed to date approximately from the Taisho to early Showa period (circa 1910s–1930s). The exact age and makers are unknown.

The largest doll measures approximately 45 cm in height and wears a vivid red kimono decorated with traditional Japanese motifs. It has black hair and a classically styled Ichimatsu doll face. As an antique piece, it shows age-related wear, dirt, deterioration, and possible traces of past repairs. It was acquired in its present condition, and its detailed history is unknown.

The smaller doll dressed in an orange/red kimono is approximately 13.8 cm high and 10 cm wide. It displays the delicate proportions of a miniature Ichimatsu doll and shows wear consistent with its age.

The other small doll wears a green kimono with colorful traditional patterns and stands on a wooden base measuring approximately 9.2 × 10.5 cm. Its overall height is approximately 19.7 cm including the base. There are scratches/damage to the face as well as other signs of age.

These dolls have survived for many decades, and their aged surfaces, traditional costumes, and individual expressions give them an appealing antique character. They would make an interesting addition to a collection of Japanese dolls, folk art, traditional crafts, or historical Japanese decorative objects.

YuDesign usually ships using Japan Post, but depending on the destination country and the international postal situation, we may use Japan Post, Japan Post UGX, DHL, or Yamato Transport (UPS).

Since July 24, 2026, Japan Post has temporarily suspended acceptance of some IOSS shipments, so alternative delivery services such as Japan Post UGX or Yamato Transport (UPS) may be used when necessary.

Therefore, depending on the destination country, shipping fees may be set slightly higher than usual in order to maintain reliable delivery. Thank you for your understanding.

The usual estimated delivery time is approximately 1–2 weeks, although this may vary depending on customs clearance and local delivery conditions.

Any import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, or other charges incurred are the responsibility of the buyer.

Items will be carefully packed to ensure safe delivery. To help protect the environment, recycled cardboard boxes and reused packing materials may be used.

When safety can be ensured, lightweight packaging may also be used to reduce shipping costs.

Due to the impact on international postal services in the Middle East, Japan Post shipments to Cyprus are currently suspended. Therefore, shipments to Cyprus will be made only by DHL or Yamato Transport (UPS).
