Descrizione del venditore
Charming and detailed 800 silver snail figurine, realistically modelled with a spiral shell, textured body and raised antennae.
An expertly crafted, lifelike vintage silver figurine depicting a crawling snail. This delightful collector's piece features a dual-texture execution: a highly polished, smooth spiral shell that beautifully catches the light, paired with a finely detailed, hand-chiseled textured body.
The piece has been meticulously preserved and exhibits an authentic vintage patina that accentuates its intricate sculptural details. It is fully hallmarked on the underside of its tail tip with official Italian silver stamps.
Hallmarked 800 (80% pure silver) together with the maker’s registration number 122. This is a classic Italian continental silver mark of the mid-20th century. The piece dates to circa 1950–1960
The Origin & Workshop: The maker's mark 122 FI is enclosed within a traditional clipped-corner lozenge. The FI province code officially denotes Florence (Firenze), Italy, a region world-famous for its master silversmiths and hand-chiseled textures.
Artisan Profile: An authorized, mid-century master silversmith operating in the prestigious Florentine jewelry hub. The exceptional quality of the chiseled work on the snail's body confirms this workshop was trained in the signature "Florentine Finish" style (known for realistic, textured surface details engraved into precious metals)
Weight: 22 grams
Dimensions: approx. 5 cm × 3 cm × 2 cm
Excellent decorative miniature, perfect for a collector of Italian silver novelties or animal figurines. Shows natural age patina and light surface wear consistent with its age.
